I am Kaylin, daughter of Paul and Ronél. I am a high school student at DF Malan in Belville. I grow up in a loving, gracious family who love God and His people.
Covid was a silent stinger, but now I am surrounded by amazing friends who I would describe as supportive, over-achieving, laughing, "lekker" people.
My daily walk-through pretty much looks like waking up, trying to make the most of the morning hours before tackling my handbooks and pretending I know what's going on. I take science, maths, biology and design (plus English, Afrikaans and LO). I enjoy art (how it feels to create it, learning about it and trying to figure out why it was made by whomever in the first place). Even though I am in the very last hockey team — I consider that my hour of complete escape and fun with a bunch of crazy cool people. Above all, I am a child of God and hope to find my identity.
Karen is a full-time Mom, part-time copywriter and part-time theology student. One of her goals in life is to be a complete Bible nerd, reading it in its original languages (and to one day win a game of Scrabble against her husband). She has three young children, a giant Great Dane and a house full of people.

I am Veronica Diesel. I was originally Veronica Macfarlane, the daughter of a South African engineer whose father was a Scottish military man and bagpiper, and an Austrian nurse. My family was super encouraging, and I grew up believing I was gifted and I could do anything. University was a rude shock! Anyway, I am married to Howard, who can most certainly do anything (in the data and IT world definitely)! We will have been married for 33 years in December, and have four awesome grown biological children and a beautiful daughter-in-law. No grandchildren yet. I was a high school IT and Maths teacher. I spent many fun years teaching Sunday School and Junior Youth. I learned guitar when I was seven from Des Lindberg, and have played ever since. I had a passion for teaching children to worship, and trained a kids worship team, which was lots of fun! Music and art are integral to my wellbeing, and I have used them extensively in children’s ministry. IT and Data were my nemesis for most of my life where I lived with a secret fear, yet I had to appear confident as that is where I had my career. My story is also my first post.
Ek glo in God Drie-Enig met my hele wese. Getroud met die beste man ooit, Fanie. Ons het 6 kinders, ons getroude Kinders is soos ons eie met 8 Kleinkinders. Afgetree en geniet ons Sonskynjare saam met mekaar.
Hi, I am Nettie. I love Christ and consider encouraging fellow believers to be my calling. My philosophy of life is based on Philippians 1:6 which reads: “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
I am married to Brahm and we live in Kloof, Durban and serve at Hillcrest Baptist Church (https://www.baptistchurchhillcrest.com) where Brahm is the Counseling Pastor.
My career is in IT where I have served as a Consultant Project Manager for close to three decades. I love my job.
Music is part of who I am - I play piano and guitar and sometime jam a bit on a bass. There is nothing like a jamming session with good friends to make sense of all life’s challenges.
I am a friend of Paul & Ronel. I am married to Veronica (32 years) and have already had a fantastic life with her. We work together, believe in Jesus together and have the most amazing family together. I have four brothers (spread across the world and miss them very much) and four (my lucky number) wonderful kids, Andrew married to Mbali, Monica married to ABInBev, Debbie married to Cape Town, and Mark, a recovering addict.
Our life has always been overflowing, from the time we met, spending every weekend attending the local South African Music scene and loving every band we could find. Up until today, where our kids stretch us, a lot further than we ever imagined.
I have spent 25 years in the Data Management field, where I met Paul, and will hopefully work with data until I go home. Veronica is a best teacher that I know, I needed her during my not so stellar school career. I often relate how bad my school marks where when I got G for German, E for English and D for Dutch. Maths, Science and Accounting got me through.
Every year, except during lockdown, we run away from our amazing kids and spend 10 days riding motorbikes in the USA, Canada and/or Europe. The only time I stop thinking about Data is when I get on the bike and I can enjoy a non-data holiday with my brother Stuart, another special person in our lives.
I am a fellow Christ follower and married to Paul. We have two kids, two daschunds and a rescue (half Huskey, half Africanus). I am a social worker in private practise, and also the helping in Paul's data management and software company as a Culture Cultivator.
